Abeni Jones is a disabled, multiracial, trans woman educator, facilitator, artist, graphic designer, writer, and former middle and high school teacher based in San Francisco, CA. Her flagship workshop, “How to Take Care of Each Other: Community Care in Times of Crisis” was presented across the country throughout 2018, including at national conferences such as Facing Race, and Abeni is turning it into a book this year! During the day she’s a graphic designer and advertising professional for a Black history-focused nonprofit media company, and she also does freelance design work and workshop facilitation, and babysits a young trans girl.
